A number of narratives about Prophet Muhammad’s life and his praiseworthiness can be found among literary works, however, a few Persian literary texts have devoted to a full account of the Prophet's life, and one of the most important of these works is "Maghazial-Nabi", which is a book composed by SarfiKashmiri far beyond the political capital of Iran in Kashmir. This work is a unique example of the history of the Prophet that has been unknown. This article seeks to answer the questions, what components are used in “Maghazi-al-Nabi” as a “historical poetic work” and what narratology method does Sarfi use in narrating the history of Prophet? The research is done through a descriptive-analytical method, and besides introducing Sarfi, the study presents an analysis of the structure of “Maghazi” regarding historiography, analytical approach, detail-oriented, narratology, and reflection of beliefs. The result of the research indicates that Sarfi similar to all historians has documented the Prophet’s biography in detail, and he never lets any event and characters of the Prophet’s era be forgotten. Thus, instead of using a poetic language, he seeks to narrate the history in a way that the quality of the narrative dominates the poetic elements of the text.
