Abstract
Abstract
"Mukatibat i Allami" is a collection of correspondence and notes by Sheikh Abul Fazl Deccani Allami, which was collected after Allami's murder, by his nephew Abdul Samad. This work is one of the examples of Persian collections from the period of Akbar Shah Gurkani, which, in addition to two notebooks containing royal letters and private letters, contains a third notebook containing Allami's personal notes. This collection is a rare and valuable work in terms of describing important details of India's relations with Iran and neighboring kingdoms, describing court and social conventions, traditions and methods of correspondence, and containing examples of traditional literary criticism. The existence of dozens of complete and selected manuscripts, lithographic and lead prints, and the writing of several commentaries on Allami's correspondence clearly indicate the extent of this importance, especially in the Indian subcontinent. In this study, the author intends to use a descriptive-analytical method to introduce the subject, structure, and important versions of this work, and to examine the external features and writing characteristics of the Hyderabad manuscript, numbered 1974/2614, which has a special place among correspondence manuscripts in terms of manuscript validity.
